How much have we REALLY paid back?

Just wondered how much we had really paid our creditors, I mean we have our starting debt figures and then an update figure but we will have paid so much more than that with interest, then there are all the other purchases some of us have made during the year that could have gone on our debt but we have decided we need to have a life too. So come on what do you all think?
Me:
Started at £36,848.88
Paid off: £31,161.06 off debt
New york holiday costs: £5450.00
School fees: £5000
Moving costs: £2800
New bathrooms, carpets, cooker: £8000
Furniture: £970
TV: £453
2008 holiday deposit: £980
OH course fees: £570
Probable credit card interest fees: £700???
Therefore although we're debt clearing, the actual amount we have paid in excess of daily living since LBM is £56,084. OMG that's nearly our mortgage!!!!

The figure in my sig is the amount including interest that I need to pay back. The loan was for £9,000.
Scary, but at least I know the figures and can't be upset that half of my repayment money is going on interest!Current debt - £16,300Debt at worst 17/03/2011 - £18,067.62:eek::eek::ANot going anywhere else, ever again :A0
