I stopped trusting Amazon reviews years ago . I bought an item. It was appalling despite having 2k 5* reviews. I returned it and left a 1* review. The seller contacted me and offered £20 to change the review.

I said no, and tried to contact Amazon three times about it but they weren’t interested.

I’ve also had cards included with my order saying leave a positive review and email a link here for £10/£15/£20.

So now I just assume all reviews are fake.

We'll be updating the fake review-spotting blog soon. If you've got any tips of your own or want to let us know whether or not the blog helped you when checking reviews, please let us know.

    Thanks.  B)

Some of the reviews are so obviously fake but for those you aren't sure about this could be a useful tool.
