would a loan be a better option

Options
Hi, I am moving house (due to a relationship break up). I will be £3,000 short of being debt free for the house I am buying. What is the best way to borrow that amount of money? Would I be better off putting it on a credit card and then transferring the balance to a 0% credit card? Or would a loan be a better option

Get a 0% purchases card. Put your everyday spending on that and save your own cash for the 3k.
  • It all depends on how you use your credit card, if you are good in the calculations it is possible. But if not, it is better to loan, because in the loan you initially see how much you will pay and how much time. But credit cards are secretive.
  • If you need £3k cash now, then your options will be either a loan, or a money transfer card. Otherwise, I would recommend zx81's suggestion of putting all your purchases on a 0% card, and set aside the cash you would have otherwise spent
