air purifier- recommendations please

Options
hi, been advised by gp to have an air purifier as kids suffer from allergies, eczema etc.
have searched online but vast products to choose from , so if any kind folks could recommend one ,it would be most appreciated.

also, would it be better to get one with ioniser or does it not make much difference.

thanks
Nice to save.

We have the Vax air purifier. It works great and is not noisy.

i have dust allergy and hay fever .i bought the Homedics purifier with replaceable Hepa filter .

The filter can be vaccuumed or wiped down with a damp cloth, it can get quite dusty!

It has reduced my bunged up nose and watering eyes when i wake up and
    effective on cooking smells.
