We had a bit of a reflective evening on Hypno's diary last night so yes I agree with you. Blessings are there to be counted.

Best thing of all is. We have each other. When MSE was down the other weekend I was lost.
Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)

  • What a lovely thread.I was also feeling down today, have found it hard to function today and you just lightened my day.My blessings are
    My 2 lovely children
    My sometimes lovely OH
    My health
    My friends
My work both paid and voluntary
My roof which keeps the rain out
My car ( who I love dearly)
MSE especially DFW (I had more down days before I came here)

Right now I would pretty much  to anything! Its just been one of those days! That and I have been reading too many articles on banks cracking down on remortgages:eek: But I shouldnt worry until I have spoken to the banks I guess!

I am lucky to have a loving mother, brother and OH and friends who are great.

I am lucky to have a place that gets me through the working day and is available whenever I need it and I am lucky that no matter what happens I have people in my life that will give me a hug, virtual or not!

I completely agree with you! Whenever I get down (which happens often!) I remind myself how lucky I am compared to a lot of people:

I have a lovely OH who I love to bits
    I have a lovely son
I have a roof over my head which I own (although I have a mortgage)
We are still managing, somehow, to make ends meet every month
My health, while not great, is a lot better than some people's
I enjoy my job (most of the time!)
    Great friends and family
I have MSE which has kept me sane in my darkest DFW hours!

I agree with all of the above reasons to count my blessings.

I also count myself lucky to be reading this as a lot of people I knew who were my age are no longer with us and will not see another sunset or hear a childs laughter.
Sorry to get a bit deep there but I should count my blessing everyday but sometimes forget. Will remind myself to remember at the start of every day.
