What type of pension are you referring to?
Do you need a lump sum?
What retirement income method you are looking to utilise?
Are there any safeguarded benefits? (if money purchase)
What are the income figures with and without TFC? (if defined benefit).

That's just a few to get us started. It won't be the only ones as the answers will lead to more. However, as it stands, your question cannot be answered.

Pros - you get a lump sum
Cons - you get less money each month.

    But you knew that already

So whats your real question ?
