Can I get a car?

Hi there,
Posting from Scotland, went bankrupt in Scotland. I'm a year and a bit into my bankruptcy repayment plan. I'm looking for new jobs but many of them require a car. My parents have offered to buy me a cheap second hand car. Is this allowed or am I going to run into trouble with my trustee for suddenly having a car? I'm not sure of the rules.
If anyone can shed any light that would be great!
Thanks,
Avo

If they buy it and have an invoice/receipt in their name to prove it then it is not your property.
