2018 Minted Coins

Anyone know what coins have been produced by the Royal Mint this year? (Just ordinary coins and not special collector’s coins.). I want to put a 2018 coin into a piggy bank I have bought for a baby who was born this year. Originally wanted a £1 coin or a £2 coin but I’ve searched for one and can’t find any.

Any denomination of 2018 coin will do. I even went into the main branch of RBS today and they couldn’t find a 2018 coin for me.

Does anyone know if any coins have been produced this year?

Try the post office for this years commemorative coins, might pay a bit more but they will be new, uncirculated and relevant to the year of birth. Depends if you think they are going to keep it as a christening gift or spend it as "money"!

What about the new alphabet 10p's, if you can get one... .perhaps just one for the first letter of her name, or spell out her full name and pop them in... they are hard to find, but a load more have been released into circulation recently.
