Facebook share

Watching a Di Coke video, she mentioned that when comps ask you to share, it's actually against FB terms and conditions, yet so many seem to get away with it. Apparently the way random name/number generators work, means the promoter never sees any shared entries, it only sees likes/comments, so my question is, how many of you choose not to enter the "share" comps?, considering your entry wont be seen. Are they all using a random generator?
I'd heard of Di a few years ago and only discovered her youtube the other day, so much information., I get a kick from watching her unbox her prizes lol.

I personally don't like to share most competitions as it is against the Facebook terms, I also don't want my wall filled with competitions, or for my account to look like a competition account. I also don't want to bombard my friends with competition posts.
I just like, comment and tag people, although tagging is also against Facebook terms and conditions as far as I'm aware, luckily I have a few people that don't mind being tagged, if I like the prize.
I also only have one Facebook account, unlike lots of compers who have two or more. I don't feel the need for another account and if you get caught both of your accounts can be shut down, as Facebook only allows you to have one account.

There are several ways to select a winner, quite a few people number the entries, and number them once they see the entrant has entered correctly, which may include sharing. Some people use number generators, find a winner then just check the winner has completed all the steps. So if it is a share competition and I want to enter it correctly, then yes I would share.
Thank you to everyone who posts competitions and good luck to everyone who enters.

Promoters can select in various ways including just from entries that have shared, even if they include entries without a public share it only takes a couple of seconds to check the potential winner has shared and just pick another if required.
