Looks like they may have cottoned on to the fact that the vouchers were scanning for varieties other than those pictured. I went into the local branch earlier and found they'd restocked, but only the bbq flavour was left on the shelf, and the voucher came up invalid when I tried redeeming it.

For some reason it doesn't work on the bbq flavour. All other varieties are fine including the fusion flavours. HTHs

After the wife and I visiting 2 branches on Tesco today on 5 occasions we now have 60 packets of walkers crisps. 20 S&V, 20 BBQ and 20 C&E

We did buy other things at the same time on each visit so not just for the freebies. ;)

Tried one for lunch and very tasty!:D

Blimey... i get trouted over just 1 packet... how do you manage!!
  • I wonder if getting 60 packs might seem a little excessive but each to their own....maybe if people are getting multiple quantities it might be an idea to pop one or 2 packs into the foodbank collection points that a lot of Tesco outlets have.....

Tried again yesterday, this time with one of the fusion flavours, and got the same result. I queried it and was informed that they've been told only to accept the vouchers against the pictured flavours.

I went in again this morning and they had the full range in stock, so I picked up a Cheese & Onion, which was my preferred flavour.

I got the chicken flavour ok this morning that is not a pictured flavour.

Did they actually scan the coupon against the fusion flavour or was it just a big no before they even tried. :(

I have only got couple of fusion flavours so far as like you the cheese & onion were OOS in my local until today. I'll try a fusion flavour next time I pop in and report back.

Had a voucher accepted in a London based Metro store at the weekend. Self service called an assistant over (as always on a small spend with coupon), who accepted without hesitation. Crisps were £1.50.

However, went to another Metro store in London and they were priced at £1.58, so you'd have to pay an extra 8p to get these. Still a good deal.

My local superstore outside London had loads of packs of all flavours left today (and took the coupon). They don't stock the magazine, so it's no surprise.
  • my tesco has been out of stock all week and i couldnt get will probably be back once promo is over :(:(:(
