PPI on old Mortgage

Options
Hi All, i am looking to claim PPI on a mortgage taken out with the now defunct Bristol & West Building Society during the late nineties. I know the BS sold on their debts but have not been able to find the correct company or source to approach. Can anyone advise or point me in the right direction on this.

Groping in the dark on this :(:(

Thanks in advance.

This is the Mortgages and Endowments Board....what is the Board immediately above it?

Bristol & West used to be active with brokers and estate agents. Was the PPI bought via the B&W branch or via a broker? (it makes a difference)

Were you actually sold PPI and not mixing it up with another product (such as MIG or life assurance)?

Mortgage lenders advised on mortgage payment protection and it's very difficult to claim somehow you were insulated from illness or unemployment, especially if the premiums were payable monthly and weren't added to the loan.

Are you sure your issue is with the lender (Bank Of Ireland UK now, BTW) or should it be with whoever introduced you to B&W?
