Bankruptcy +6 Years - Renting House

My bankruptcy is just over 6 years old now and when I check Noddle it says I have "no bankruptcies or insolvencies" and on Clear Score it says I have "no court orders or insolvencies". I'm also no longer on the government bankruptcy and insolvency register, the only place my name still appears is in The Gazette.
Right now I am looking for a place to rent and on a referencing form I got from an estate agent it asks if you've ever been declared bankrupt before and if so to give details. Do I still have to declare it now that its off my credit files? Will their checks still find a 6 year plus bankruptcy. The referencing costs £100 so I don't want to waste money only to be rejected.
How likely are they to allow me to rent a place if I'm upfront and tell them of my bankruptcy? I've never missed a rent payment ever and I have a good reference from a previous agent also my current landlord, who I rent direct from, will also provide me with a good reference.
Any advice much appreciated thanks.

Morning
yes, you will still need to declare it, but give full details regarding dates, date of discharge etc.
if you have strong references from previous rentals ( and no rent debt written of in bankruptcy), it should be an issue
We were 3 years into a joint IVA, so credit file was complete shot, and we managed to pass credit checks with an agency (we had a guarantor lined up just in case as well). we also had two strong previous references as never missed rent payments before
best to be honest from the start,
let us know how you get on0 -
Remember to declare on your insurance forms for the rest of your life, too.0

Only if they ask! ...my insurance providers have never asked me 'if I've ever' been BR - only whether I am currently BR and I've switched a number of times - car and house insurance - never been a problem. I pay up front for all my insurance because its cheaper than monthly instalments.0
