Hi,
I want to buy a digital camera for my daughter's birthday. I have up to £100-150 (at a push) to spend. Any recommendations
(She would prefer a pink one if possible)
Many thanks,

Hi there,
I have bought this for our eldests birthday http://www.amazon.co.uk/Canon-PowerShot-A460-Digital-Camera/dp/B000MS08MU/ref=sr_1_1/026-6912966-6398839?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1194314845&sr=8-1 (although not until later this month so have not had a chance to play with it!)
It seems to have pretty good reviews everywhere I looked - and for the price seemed to have quite a lot of usable features.
It also uses SD cards which are cheap compared to memory sticks.
I have also invested in a battery recharger as it isn't doesn't have a mains charger - will she remember to turn the camera off when she has finished with it?! :rotfl:0 -

Thanks for all the hints, still not decided. Looked at a canon EOS350D,, 3 different fuji finepix ones (Z3, Z5fd and Z10), a kodak easy, and 2 casio. Never knew there would be so many pink cameras. I'm even more confused than started off.

I forgot to add that she will be using for her art coursework, often taking closeups and then sketching from photo so a camera that takes great close up pics all the better. Thanks all in advance.0 -
There are some on the Kodak shop website that look good value. If you don't mind a refurbished one (6 month guarantee), you can get a 5mp one for £30, and spend the rest on an ipod for her.0
