Good morning to all you good folks out there

In short my story is that at 55 and after working in Local Government for 28 years I am totally disillusioned. The moral is so low in our section and the atmosphere positively toxic. Ridiculously heavy workload, impossible deadlines etc., So I have made the decision to make the break and set up a dog walking business.

I have been doing my research and today I am going to set out a business plan. I am in the fortunate position to be able to take my pension (I also have a second pension which I will continue paying into) this will give me breathing space to build up my customer base.

I would really appreciate any thoughts or experiences any of you may have had.

Yes I have, it's amazing how much information is out there, this afternoon I intend to trawl through it all and make some sort of 'to do' list.

Maybe you could make a website and advertise it with Google Adwords. Google Adwords is really useful for such kind of business.

Thanks Crypto good point. I've also been told that it's a good idea to do that first stating when the business will commence. I'll add it to my 'to do' list
