Hello

Hi :j

I'm just wondering If you can help me with some advice tho I'm not sure this might be the right place but worth a shot as everywhere else is hitting a dead end :(

So I want to become a Embalmer and have found a course that is 2 years which with the price that it's at covers exams and practicals . But I'm just wondering about finding towards it. As I've looked at student loans and a few others but it don't seem to be anyway as you can imagine . I've contacted the main Bie they only offer some assistance if your in receipts!of government assistance, not if your not
Any help would be great and I apologise if this isn't the right site for it :j

It's not a career I have any experience of or know anyone who does it, but it seems to me to be the sort of thing where you would learn on the job with the employer paying for any training required rather than do the training in advance, perhaps as an apprentice.

Contact funeral directors and ask how you go about it.
It is possible you could get a job at the bottom of the ladder and work your way up
with a funeral director, as agrinnall stated.

    Was the pun intended?

I often wonder why people want to do certain jobs. Did the OP wake up one morning and say "I know what I'll do, I'll become an embalmer"?
If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales

And there goes your chance of getting further sensible replies.
There's no need to be quite so touchy, i had similar thoughts when my neighbour's son wanted to get into the trade.
It's an open forum, topics quite often wander off track. It's nothing personal.

I suspect from your vast over-reaction to what is actually a reasonable question you will be well suited to working with the dead rather than the living.

Reminds me of Sam, the instant flying off the handle.
With apologies to Sam if he's reading and this isn't him.
