All this insight is very helpful. That's the great thing about the forums, it means we don't have to go into something completely blind.'...it is only kindness that makes sense anymore ' Naomi Shihab Nye0

I have one and can recommend.0 -
Just let my leather one go after 19 year's. It was hide leather, as said lots of complaints on the new sofa leathers so went with a fabric one this time but i am not expecting it to last as long.We paid 2,000 for it, and it was so worth it. Only let it go as we were updating our lounge. As said make sure you know what type of leather it is.0

There's a bit of a delay on getting the money so I've not done anything about buying my sofa yet. We did look in Laura Ashley last weekend, some nice ones there and I was looking for the types of leather recommend!
That being said, some colleagues of mine say leather sofas are cold and not cwtch-y. Is that true?'...it is only kindness that makes sense anymore ' Naomi Shihab Nye0 -

Depends on the temp in the room.
If the room is freezing the leather will be cold until you make contact and warm it up.
If it’s warm, the sofa will be warm.0 -
We have had tw leather chairs and a two seater and a three seater from saxon in Bolton well worth going for a factory visit if in the area to see them been hand made they do everything in leather the reason we had two chairs and a three seater sofa was great until we moved home it was too big so we down sized and colour but they were brilliant they advised id need bigger feet on the chair and when they deliverd they tried with the bigger feet and it was ok but after a few weeks I got in touch with saxon and they came out and changed the feet and it was a lot better so a great place to buy a leather chair and or a settee well worth contacting them0

As you are in S Wales why not visit the manufactures direct?
In the past I have bought from Thomas Lloyd and another place near Bridgend.0 -

Thought I would update. I didn't end up buying a leather sofa. Life intervened. But I did pass on the great info from here to my sister who did!
