Appreciate it might vary from case to case...just wondering the average time scale remortgage with Halifax via a broker.
Papers were E-signed yesterday and hoping the application will be on its way...seems a reasonable deal (feel free to educate me) 1.96 % fixed for 5 yrs and its potable, valuation and solicitor fee free.
We do have a charging order to take care of...but assume that shouldnt be much of a hassle.

About a week from application to offer.

A remortgage then?
Not necessarily.
Lenders pay large-scale conveyancing warehouses about £35 to handle a remortgage so the service can often be questionable. You'll find most brokers have moved to lenders/products with a cashback to cover the legal costs so they can appoint a solicitor where a modicum of control can be kept.I am a mortgage broker.
