Remove photo imprint from ID window

Hi All,
I have a travel ticket holder with plastic windows that is to be used with Railcards and Oyster cards etc. I don’t want to replace the ticket holder as it isn’t very old, and was a gift (Cath Kidston branded).
I have since removed my Railcard and the photo on the card has left an ink imprint of the photo on the plastic window.
Is there any way I can get the ink off so that I can reuse it?
In addition to this, I was wondering if anyone knew of anything I could put future Railcards in as to prevent the transfer of ink to my travel wallet.
Edit: (Apologies if I haven’t posted this in the right place, this is my first time posting in the forums.)
Thanks in advance!

Hair spray often works well to remove ink stains - maybe try squirting a little hair spray onto a tissue and leave it inside the wallet for a while to see if it dissolves any of the ink.
Maybe you could prevent ink transfer in future by putting clear self adhesive film over your travel card before putting it in the wallet.0 -
@Siebrie: I have complained to Railcard, as this resulted in the photo coming off of the card itself - and it’s a 3yr card that cost me £70.00 (not cheap!). They are sending me a replacement for free - they typically charge £10.00 for this.
I think this has happened due to the way that Railcard print on the cards - which seems to predominantly be a Railcard issue.
In regards to Cath Kidston, it’s not the fault of that brand that the ink from a card of another company transferred onto the plastic. In addition to this, the ticket wallet in question is now discontinued, so they wouldn’t be able to replace it.
@C J: Thanks for your reply, I will take a look at this.0 -
I would try abit of something like Cif cream, something with a bit of bite.
Failing that I would remove stained plastic and insert new piece cut from a clear A4 folder, the semi rigid type thta has a spine, if you know what I mean?!Norn Iron Club member 4730 -
