Are you entitled to travel expenses when working overtime?

If you work overtime on a day that you wouldn't normally work, i.e. a Saturday or a Sunday, are you entitled to your travel expenses being paid as you wouldn't normally be in work that day? I would've thought the answer would be yes, but if I flip it, I don't get paid travel expenses for a standard working day. Anyone know, or does it depend on company policy?

Depends on company policy - some would say that any overtime payment is to cover inconvenience/additional costs e.g travel0

There are also likely to be tax implications for both you and your employer if they reimburse you for home to work travel costs.0
