Nationwide mortgage

Hi everyone,

We applied for a mortgage with Nationwide on Monday. They contacted us Thursday to say they are willing to lend to us but due to our income change it will now be less. Well our income hasnt changed so we rang them and they said they took my husbands payslip and then multiplyed it by 12. Well he is paid 13 times a year as he is paid 4 weekly so we have sent them 8 payslips as evidence of this.

Has anyone else experienced similiar and what was the outcome? I am starting to get nervous.

Thanks

Assuming what you have said is the case, you will be fine.

They were a bit slow on this.

Four weekly pay shows tax week 4, 8, 12 etc whereas monthly pay shows month 1, 2, 3 etc.

They will put it right but shouldn't have got it wrong in the first place.

  • Its really frustrating. Just seems we have lost a week and a half from something that is quite simple and easily worked out. They have said we will receive an update by the end of day Thursday so a week after they have received the documents. Hopefully, it will be sooner. Everything is on hold because of them at the moment
