Lender - Proof of Deposit

Hi all,
Soon I will have to provide proof of deposit.
Now, we have the 10% that the developer (new build) will require, but the rest that forms the deposit of our mortgage will be to hand by completion.
As my mortgage provider will need proof before hand, is it acceptable to provide a statement from one of my rainy day fund accounts, which has enough money? Of course the actual money wont come from that account when the deposit is due, but can I use it to show we have enough money?

As long as you can prove you have the funds available now, I don’t think you’ll have a problem.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
