being impatient?

so,

on the 9th I submitted an application via a broker to principally building society.

The timeline:
full Application submitted 9th September
Valuation booked 10th for 11th September
Valuation took place 11th
12th - failed to declare a loan (non-decline)
13th - Paid loan off full for mortgage affordability
14th - My wife needed to sign a passport and resend

From there until now, it's been pretty speedy, without fail, the under writter has been pretty good for us. The solicitors have been in contact form the bank already - They have started our 'case file' already? but no offer from the bank?

No news though? It's the 28th have we been declined and our broker is hiding it?

If your broker is hiding the results of your mortgage application, I don't think he's really a mortgage broker, as I suspect you would find out when you don't receive any money to buy the house.

Was the valuation an independent one?

I'm not sure why a lender would do a valuation prior to accepting your application?
I've got a plan so cunning you could put a tail on it and call it a weasel.

What benefit is there for your broker hiding the decline?
    Have you asked the broker?

I think this is me, because the broker just phoned saying everything is 'ok' and it doesn't matter that I am asking him for updates as that's his job! :) which is very nice. The bank is going through ID verification process so that should mean it's pretty much gone to offer?
