the end of PPCs

https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/220663

if this goes thru

now then , supermarkets , hospitals etc INVITE you to their sites , so the above act will be no good , however it will stop fly parkers , and assist anyone who owns there own parking space but upto now has been getting tickets whilst parked elsewhere because of denied access to their space

Comments

    1. No, it won't be the end of PPCs, because that would only cover the No Parking scenarios. Most parking cases are where there is consent to be there, e.g. the "free" supermarked/retail car parks or any P&D car park.
    2. This would take us back to the 30s (was it?) where mass trespasses were needed to allow access to land
    3. This is a rather feeble attempt to solve a particular problem (e.g. travellers or squatters) without any thought for the wider consequences.
Like so may petitions on the Parliament web site, it's ill thought through, badly worded and will go nowhere.

This is obviously aimed at Travellers, an oppressed ethnic minority. I cannot see any Government, certainly not a Labour one, taking action against such people.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.
