Urgent help please :-( valuation instruction cancelled

Hi everyone
Myself and husband applied for a natwest mortgage on Monday and yesterday received paperwork to sign from a valuation company to instruct the vauluation on our new home. We scanned that over this morning and received a reply from the caluation company saying
“Unfortunately, we no longer hold this instruction as it was cancelled by the lender. You will need to contact them to find out who now holds it as we do not have access to that information.”
I’m so concerned why this would be :-( I’ve called our broker who will chase it but she couldn’t give me a reason! Has this happened to anyone else? Anyone know why this would happen?

It happened to us on a case last week, not to worry you but it was because the case has been declined.
We did manage to sort this out and place the case elsewhere, but we have noticed in the past 3 weeks or so Natwest have tightened up quite significantly.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Thank you for your reply :-( I got so nervous we called the mortgage broker again and she said it hasn’t been declined or she would know about it... apparently they are still reviewing our application and have asked for more details which is a good sign and shows they are considering it, apparently with NatWest proofs take 24 hours to be seen by the underwriter so because they have asked for 2 lots of proofs she thinks our application has been put on hold while the proofs catch up with the system ? I hope this is true 0

Possibly, I do not think we have had a case where they have asked for additional paperwork so cant think of a time where they would have had to delay a valuation.
If that is what your broker has said, then I would trust them. There is no reason for them to lie to you.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Ok thank you so much for your advice. I will keep the faith unless told otherwise. We have credit card debt which we intend to pay off with our equity and they wanted proof that on completion we will have the sounds to do so which has been sent to them. I’m hoping the fact that they are asking for additional info is good 0

UPDATE!!!
Had an email from broker to say that valuations had been done! I’m relieved as they cancelled the instruction of one company and no one could tell us why or what would happen next. Mortgage broker said it must have been outsourced to another valuation company.0
