Need help to set up a pension

Hi there am 39 and self employed I have no pension I am looking 2 set up one but have no idea were 2 start could someone help me please

1) You can go to an IFA ( independent financial advisor) They will normally charge you a one off fee for setting it up but probably they will be able to set you up with a pension with relatively low charges and the right fund structure.
2) You can go to your bank/building society and they can set one up ( I think) but it will be with a pension provider associated with the bank, so may not be the best one
3) You can DIY by going to the websites of well known pension providers. The simplest ones are offered by Scottish Widows: Standard Life ; Aviva etc. There will be no set upcharge but there will always be annual charges with all three options.0
