Magnifying Glass for Product Ingredients Lists

When I was in my 20s I was able to read even super-small product ingredients list. In my mid-50s....
I would like to buy a quality magnifying glass that comes in a suitable carrying case. That I can carry with me in the bag I carry with me at all times, and use when shopping.
I'm sure it's possible to buy one with a hand-crafted lens for hundreds of pounds, but I'd like something that is reasonably good quality for a reasonable price. I don't know what 'reasonable' is, but hope that people here can give advice as to what I'll need to pay for something that will work well and will last.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
EDIT: 5 best magnifying glasses includes the Mercury 700.054 which is on Amazon for £1.70 with free p&p. Surely it can't be a good option at that price?!?!? https://www.bestadvisers.co.uk/magnifying-glasses Reviews are good, but it's frequent that near-free items will have good reviews even if they are poor as people will consider them appropriate quality for the money.
