Barclays mortgage - interest charges not showing online

Hi - I have a new Barclays fixed rate mortgage and I can see my current mortgage balance online, and all transactions - instalments due and my monthly payments. However, the online transaction history doesn't show interest charges. How do I find out what those are, are they displayed anywhere online or perhaps on paper statements? Thank you.

  • If Barclays are anything like Nationwide then your annual statement should show the interest charged for the year. I don't think NW broke it down anywhere what was charged each month though so maybe Barclays are the same.

You can work it out yourself as long as you know the interest rate and use the outstanding balance from the Barclays online account and multiply by the number of days divided by 365 since the last repayment you made - this will give you the interest being charged that month.
