Halifax Contractor Friendly

So Halifax is supposed to be contractor friendly right? Have they changed their policies?

I bought a flat with a mortgage, and being a contractor, I have a limited company. I gave them my contract as proof of income. It was accepted so they never asked for company accounts or any further information. I got my mortgage and 4 years later, I sold my flat and bought a house, porting my mortgage and taking additional borrowing against the house. Again I gave them my contract which was accepted without issue as proof of income. Now its another 4 years and i've applied to extend the lending on my house by £11000. I have provided my contract as proof of income.

This time they have taken about 2 weeks to then come back with their security checks won't accept the contract as proof of income because my name isn't on it.

The contract is between my company and the company i'm contracting to, which is a standard way to do things. They've done a company's house search and confirmed that I am the company's director.

They haven't given me any alternatives, just a flat rejection.

Yet they continue to say they are contractor friendly.
