Do banks check past employment history?

Or is 3 months payslip from new job ok as long as you have deposit? I am currently self employed, but I do actually have a professional qualification, it was just that I hated the job and quit. Could I get a job in profession that I trained for, apply for mortgage then resign as soon as something is approved?

If I have to move for job, will banks not like it if I try to buy house where I want to live as soon as I resign from job?

Banks are not naive, they are interested in stable cases not something that merely looks good on the surface.

You didn't answer my question. Broker's would be able to find something as long as there's a deposit and not bad credit score with a 3 month employment? Even if its a bad deal it will still be better than rent.

I imagine trying buy a house in a city where your job isn't would look worse? If so then I would need to wait longer to find a suitable local job. I live in a deprived area where you can get the cheapest houses below 50k.

What you are suggesting is Mortgage Fraud.

You are doing something with the sole intention of getting around the lenders rules. The lender will also ask if you are aware of any future changes to your circumstances - leaving your job once you have completed I would expect to come up in that section.
