Ask HR to do something illegal? I think not.
Employers can only "buy back" if they give more than statutory leave. The OP hasn't taken their statutory leave.
We get 5 days more than statutory minimum, and can carry that forward to be taken in the first four months of the following year. BUT where I work, managers check around this time of year to see how much we've taken and encourage us to book leave if we haven't had much.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
You take it or lose it on most companies. You may carry over a couple of days to next year but that's down to management/company. Just book some time off and rest.ally.0
