    Do not like suggesting but you could ask HR if they will do a buy back? But if you've been there any time you may have an idea on if they will do this.

    Ask HR to do something illegal? I think not.

    Employers can only "buy back" if they give more than statutory leave. The OP hasn't taken their statutory leave.
    This. Although worth noting that IF the employer gives more than the statutory minimum, then either buying back or carrying forward unused leave MAY be possible.

    We get 5 days more than statutory minimum, and can carry that forward to be taken in the first four months of the following year. BUT where I work, managers check around this time of year to see how much we've taken and encourage us to book leave if we haven't had much.

    You take it or lose it on most companies. You may carry over a couple of days to next year but that's down to management/company. Just book some time off and rest.
