Halifax Mortgage Timescales Scotland

Hi Guys
Just a few questions from anyone who has had an mortgage go through with Halifax on a property in Scotland.
Submitted an offer and had it accepted yesterday (19th) and also had an appointment to have the Mortgage application submitted too (AIP was given on the 17th). So does anyone know usual time scales for Halifax in Scotland?
I'm asking as most I see are in England where valuations are normally carried out and that isn't normally needed in Scotland (which our mortgage adviser confirmed). We are just wondering if anyone had any experience with them?
We were also expecting at least an email confirming submission, but didn't get anything (ofc we got plenty at the meeting with the illustration) but usually expect a confirmation with most things these days. We did notice that a few searches have been carried out, with a Credit search yesterday and further reviews today.
Also, as we went direct, do we just contact the mortgage adviser we spoke to to find updates or do we call another number? A broker was our initial plan but things happened so quickly we had to go direct.

Hi Craigzeh,
How did you get on in the end? What was the timescale AIP to offer?
The broker is currently preparing our application, AIP agreed Nov 7.
Hopefully, the application shouldn't take too long as I think affordability wise we are quite comfortable.
Moving home and already have a mortgage with Halifax so not sure if that makes the process easier when sticking with same lender?
Any advice very much appreciated.0
