well you didnt hold back there! i dont think it matters where she comes from
She offers a poor impression of the rest of us in Essex - and by extension, those in Kent. Most of us aren't seeking web validation for cleaning our own toilets.

  • Oh fgs, it's a bit of fun. So what if she does make a bit of a business out of it? Good luck to her.
If some people out there are inspired by her then that's a good thing surely. What's the harm? There's you tubers making money left right and centre and I suppose many of them just crave the attention, but that's the nature of the internet.

To those on this thread who find her manner and ideas encouraging enjoy your thread.

Also, to those of us who don't need any lessons in cleaning remember that some people do need them. Maybe they didn't learn at home, are young and inexperienced, live and let live, it's costing you nothing.

I found the Marie Kondo thread a couple of years ago and still read it to this day, long after I've de-cluttered. I'd have been lost without it during my journey, and neither was I too old to find out a few new tricks.

    Wow

Her fans certainly love to jump to her defence

I have just read a couple of threads on Mumsnet about her.

Seems no one is allowed to say anything thats not 100% complimentary about her
  • She has some good tips and loves star drops. The only thing is online businesses are taking the mick with the prices of things like minky and pink stuff, charging a heck of a lot more than RRP for the stuff! I don't have a show home but she did inspire me to declutter the lounge. Mind you I have one of those houses which looks a tip even after I have tidied.

I think she has some great ideas. I have used Zoflora since before most of her followers were born. No-one taught me about cleaning and loads of youngsters nowadays have no idea how to clean something. She uses Astonish products the pink stuff and vinegar in a spray bottle. I have used these for ages. The little minky cleaning pad she uses has sold out everywhere and there is also a few who find some and put them on !bay to make some money.
I have marie kondoed my home and in the process of decorating a room every 2 weeks so it seems a natural follow on for me to get some hints and tips.
