DMP and credit report confusion

Hi,

First post here after reading what I can

I have had a DMP with StepChange for about 3 years, with 8 creditors being paid

When looking at my credit report, only 4 of these show on it, these 4 show as defaults but the other 4 don’t appear on there at all(these are the higher £ ones)

Why don’t all of them show on my credit report?
How can I tell if the others have defaulted?

Is this normal?

Thanks in advance for any help

Simon

Have you checked all three credit reports? Experian, Equifax and Noddle?
Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi
  • Only Experian. Guess I can check the others, no harm done 🤔
  • Can’t register with noodle as it doesn’t recognise my debit card no.?

If noddle is not recognising your debit card number, then try their parent company TransUnion (ex CallCredit). You can request a Statutory Report for free.

  • Thanks. Have managed to get on there!

    Still not much clearer

Callcredit and Experian show some creditors the same and some different.

Also some of the creditors I’m paying via stepchange don’t appear on either.
These are Honours student loans and Wescot(running a NatWest overdraft debt)

    Is this normal?

    Thanks for the help
  • You still have the Equifax report to check. Your Westcot (NatWest) account should appear on there.

Your Student Loan does not appear on your credit file as it is deducted from your future income after graduation.

  • So the student loan won’t be on there, and I assume not defaulted as well?

Even though I have started to pay it back via the DMP and it is no longer increasing via interest on it as it would if it was just deferred?

Will check Equifax and see what’s on there

If anything was defaulted more than six years ago it would not show. There do seem a lot of debts not appearing on Experian in particular, and without any good reason.

Stiill the problem would be if they were appearing, reporting late payments, but not defaulted.
  • Have checked Equifax aswell now and the student loan isn’t on there nither is the wescot managed overdraft!

    Am I missing something?
