I used the nedcab website for all my templates. You can do an Income and expenditure on there too. Works it all out for you.1

Thanks to the help on here, my DMP has been running smoothly for the last 19 months with a small break due to coronovirus and I have paid off more than 10000 pounds.
However my daughter is due to start university next year and we will get the minimum loan due to combined income. My husband has no spare income so it will fall to the money that I currently pay into the DMP to make up the shortfall.
I will need to reduce to around a fifth of the current payment. Will this be accepted as a reasonable reason for reducing payment by my creditors?

Of course it’s reasonable. Your in control remember. I recently had a child and my wife has not gone back to work so currently just paying small token payments. Creditors have been fine. Just let them know and tell them what your paying. Don’t ask!1

If you need to do this, then you require no one`s permission, you inform them how its going to be and let them deal with it.
If you ask, then there is the possibility of refusal, then what, you do it anyway, so don`t start from a position of weakness, you tell them what you need to do, and they will have no choice in the matter.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. I'm just on my first month of stopping payment to creditors, and have had some luck selling the last of my stuff on eBay.
I have a few small debts around £400 to £2k, and then the massive 5 to 7k ones.
I wonder - is it worth paying the smaller ones off if i can? They are all fixed term HP. Probably about £900 total.
Will having say 6 defaults instead of 10 make any difference?
This surplus is in addition to the buffer I'm saving for the future.

Morning all . It’s been a week since I posted my letters and I’ve had one letter requesting contact and I think a number of calls which tend to occur during work hours , no voicemails so I have not picked up any messages . Obviously the first letter I have stated I’m working on a budget , is my next step to send a copy of said budget to my creditors and advise them how much I can pay towards the debt or wait for further contact. Thanks again for all the support.0
