Help please, slow cooking pork.

Hi guys, I need a bit of advice please? I'm just bought a slow cooker and have decided to cook my roast pork in it today, I have read through the instructions but I can't figure out whether I just put my joint of pork in the slow cooker on its own or do I need to add some water aswell? Can anyone advise me further?
Thanks in advance:rolleyes:

    Hi there

I wouldn't put any liquid in to start with ( i never do)..once it gets doing the pork will produce its own liquid... you can always add some liquid later if you want to make lots of gravy...but you may not need to...

I always put a little boiling stock to make gravy in with it and herbs/pepper etc to jazz it up a bit but I leave mine all day for 5pm meal. Experiment i love my slow cooker!

I'm no expert on slow cookers but I don't think you'll get any crackling if you slow cook it. You might not mind that of course ;)

    Hi there

Thrift lady is right.. the pork won't have crackling.. but if you want some you can take the fat/skin off when your joint is nearly cooked..rub it with salt and wang it in a hot oven and it should crisp up.. keep an eye on it as it can burn really easily
