So now there is absolutely no reason for anyone to buy train tickets from Red Spotted Hanky. They offer the same fares as going direct to the train company (even just the ticket office at a station), but add on a £1 booking fee.

Stopped using RSH ages ago because of the £1 booking fee and extra charge for posting tickets. I always book direct with the train operator, same price, same data and without the booking fee.

Never quite sure what RSH or Trainline offered over the train companies websites for the extra fees they charged.

As for Tesco revamping their clubcard, it hardly seems worthwhile giving them your personal data and shopping habits in return for an ever dwindling list of deals, would rather they just made their in-store prices cheaper like Lidl.wonder if Tesco's are finding their new 'Jqxk' discount store partially out of Clubcard cutd.?

Seems they are already having problems with this. Converted points to faster vouchers, but it appears the opportunity to convert has been (temporarily, hopefully) removed following delays in people ordering RSH vouchers.

Glad it's not just me then. Hoping to travel mid-December but not the vouchers can't be used.

Suspect it would be very poor if they pulled the scheme 2 months early when folk will have been saving up the vouchers for use on this scheme.

Hello all. A couple of weeks ago I exchanged £28 worth of Clubcard vouchers for £84 worth of RSH e-codes. I kept checking but they hadn't been added to my RSH account so after a week of waiting (they say to allow 72 hours) I emailed Tesco and RSH. Tesco replied to tell me about the glitch so yesterday I kicked off a bit and told them it was unacceptable and that I wouldn't be able to afford the trip without them and I'd have to write off my Christmas trip to Berlin as a result and would be charging them for it etc etc. They just kept saying they were working hard on solving the issue but could refund my points if I wished.

Lo and behold, mid-way through the evening I receoved an email from RSH informing me that the codes were available for use and I have just now tried them and they worked! I don't know if it was coincidence or if my emails did the trick but either way, I can confirm that they ARE working, so if you haven't heard yet, hassle them a bit and see if it works for you.

...and it's been pulled again. No expected date for reinstatement.
  • Got my evouchers applied for last Monday (3/12) added to my redspottedhanky account this evening

Yep, same here. Just converted a load of points into faster vouchers in the hope it might all get done for new year travel if it gets reinstated again.

Fortunately I'm only buying walk up tickets, but I'd be a bit peeved if I was buying advances with these shenanigans/delays.
