Fixed term contract history - Accord

Getting my knickers in a twist here.
We've got an application underway with Accord. Last year I moved from a permanent position into a fixed term 12 month contract with a new employer. I think Accord look for a two year track record of continuous contracts, which obviously I can't provide.
My broker is going to ask them if they would consider making an exception since I am a professional with a fourteen year track record, in a profession with a massive staffing shortfall.
My alternative is to try and get HR to produce my next contract (I've been given the verbal go ahead for another year) early, which could be like getting blood from a stone.
Does anyone have any experience of whether Accord are likely to look favourably upon my situation?

I do not know how other brokers work, but I only try to do things if there is a chance of it going through. If I am unsure, I would speak to my account manager. If they say you can try but its unlikely, I would probably start looking at plan B. If they say you can try for an exception and there is a decent chance of it being agreed then I would get on with it.
Ultimately, it will probably come down to a lot of different factors. I would not worry too much, even if Accord say no, there will probably be alternatives.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. I think my broker misunderstood my contract situation, and probably naively I didn't consider the potential significance until this late stage.
We are supposed to move in 17 days ... :eek:0 -
Got myself all wound up about this. Went for a walk to clear my head. Came back to an email from the broker to say Accord have been happy to apply an exception in this case. Phew!
Almost there ...!0
