Historic pension year qualification

The State Pension forecast does not recognise 1995/96 as a qualifying year for my wife. Should she have been entitled given the following circumstances?
In 1995, my wife worked in April and in May and then took statutory maternity leave for 9 months. She could not return to work in March 1996 because her employer had become insolvent and she received redundancy pay.

I have osteoarthritis in my hands so I speak my messages into a microphone using Dragon. Some people make "typos" but I often make "speakos".

I think that we had better telephone DWP. Perhaps Child Benefit was paid. It is so long ago.
