My only concern is that when they enter my details for eg my NI number in their payrol system ..it will obviously pop up with my details or I don't know how long they keep my data for!

I don't believe they would have any reason to keep such details for as long as 10 years, and actually I suspect that GDPR may well mean that they have culled old records so that they didn't accidentally fall foul of tightened rules.

Don't waste your time worrying about it until it's actually a problem - there are a million other things which could or might happen, from being knocked down by a bus crossing the road, to alien invasion.
  • No one, but no one is going to remember, believe me. Only your actions are going to prompt people to remember. You are in danger of creating a self fulfilling prophecy- Be calm, confident and feel good about yourself and them at the interview. If, and only if, they bring it up, answer confidently. "Yes, I apologise for that, I don't remember the full details, but I think there was a mix up at the time." Finished, gone, over, talk about the future and your excitement regarding the new role as soon as politely possible. Your underlying disbelief at your current progress is the root of this. Be calm, be confident, good luck.
