TSB £250 Apology

My wife and I each received a separate letter from the TSB apologising for the technical issues this year, resulting in our inability to arrange a new product.
The MSE in me instantly thought... well is that £250 each? The letter says “to put things right we are going to pay you £250”. It then goes on to say they will write to other joint holders if applicable.
Anyone else receive this letter?
