Advice on taking your name off mortgage and deeds

Hi , need some advice on how I go about being taken off my joint mortgage and the deeds? I've separated from my partner but still living in the house with him ,he has offered to buy me out but now says is there an easier way of doing it like just removing my name off the mortgage and deeds through a solicitor then he just gives me the money from the house instead of buying me out ? We both want to move on with our lives asap,
Thanks
