Discounts / Voucher Codes

Hi
Not sure if this is in the right place.
Does anyone put the money to one side they save from discount codes?
I have lots of money off cards, discount cards, NHS discount cards etc which I use but never do anything with the money I save, (apart from squander). Does anyone use that money and put it away, say for Xmas? I've just been to Halfords and used my Blue light card and saved £6. If I would have been putting that saving of £6 in a savings account or somewhere since last Christmas then it would be this Xmas paid for. Even going out for meals and using 2for 1 meerkat, or using vouchercloud etc. You would have had to spend the money otherwise.
I hope this makes sense and is there an app that could monitor your savings from discounts to savings you have actually put to one side?

To be honest, on this section of the forum, we are mostly working to clear our debts and any money saved via discount codes has helped us manage within the fairly tight budgets we have. For me, going out and using a saving code/voucher is often the only way I would justify going out - so in my head I haven't saved that money because the amount spent was the amount I would have allocated for the event - hope that makes sense.
Of course, this is just how I mentally approach the benefit from such offers and others may look at them in a similar way to you.
I don't have any idea of such as app, but it would be a good idea.DFW Nerd No. 1484 LBM 07/01/15 Debt was £95k  Now debt free and happy :j0
