Grove Pension Solutions

I have received a letter, with correct name and address (wrong title), and a form from Grove Pension Solutions of Halstead, Sevenoaks, Kent. The opening lines of the letter are as follows:
“Following your initial interest about the possibility of releasing some money from your Pension early, please find enclosed an Enquiry Form. You will need to complete it and post it back using the FREEPOST address provided.”
I have never contacted this this company. Having done a quick check online I see that they do exist on FCA website.
However, I am wondering if this is a scam of some sort. Either someone has contacted Grove Pension Solutions posing as me. Or this is a fishing exercise by this company to con me into becoming a customer? Anyone have any experience with this company? I am planning on ignoring them. Just wondered if there were any others who have received similar letter.

Probably a fishing expedition.
Your name, address and age will be floating around the t'interweb.
If you are of a certain age, then they will guess you have a decent sized amount saved, and that some people will be naive / tempted...
Remember - if they are approaching you, then YOU are the product.0 -
Genuine firms do not cold call. Most do not run any form of marketing at all.
So, if anyone approaches you about your pension, you should run a mile. if you actually want someone to look at your pension, then contact a local IFA of your choosing.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0
