Setting up a business (marketing agency)

Hi all,

I am setting up a freelance marketing agency, which will be grown to a level where it's manageable by myself to function on evenings after my full-time job (with a view to going fully self employed when enough clients have been sourced).

My questions are:

Will I need to register at companies house?
I presume all profits will be taxable?

I'm good at the creative side of starting a business, but need to understand the fundamentals before ploughing in any further. I know some will scoff at the idea of me going down this route before understanding the above questions but I'm a quick learner and a big believer of learning as you go along - making mistakes, learning from them and building on them.

Yes, if you are going to have a limited company.

You need to decide whether you want to be a sole trader, or a Ltd.

Good presumption.
