Moving home

Hello,

I currently live in N. Ireland I want to know what the financial costs would be to move to England.

I currently have a mortgage with Santander in which the fixed term ends next July 2019, I purchased my house for 113k in 2015 and I have got a valuation which estimates it is now worth between 135-140k. I currently pay £550 a month.

I wanted to know what the financial cost would be to purchase a home in England for a house at lets say 200k to make it a nice round number.

I obviously have to find a job in England so is it best to sell the house first and rent in England first? What would be best the way to approach this.

Thank you for your help in advance.

Comments

  • Depends where you are planning to move to in England as prices vary for property and solicitors costs, only thing you can work out is stamp duty
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.
