As good as many decent champagnes I have had, at a fraction of the price.
Aldi do many very good wines, try some Portuguese reds for very good value too.
As for food, it depends on how many and where, I would a advise good quality, simple offering, think of a mega good cheese and charcuterie board
One of the best wedding I have been to was a register office, following by a pig roast, barrels of beer and cider, a marquee and a local band that kicked up a storm - such a good day
It's about the marriage, not the wedding xNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Some kind person suggested that I post this here:
We generally shop in the usual places but we have to buy for a wedding type party and expect to spend £500+ on food and booze, any advice on the best place for best deal please ?Mr_Singleton wrote: »A wedding is a special occasion which hopefully is a once in a lifetime experience. I don’t personally think that Lidl/Aldi sets the right sort of tone.
Seriously, buy the luxury Aldi / Lidl stuff and hide the packaging. Job done.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Costco Lakeside is only around 50 miles from East Sussex & is not really that far. However they do deliver if that helps...
Or go via Eurotunnel as that’s only 35 minutes to Calais. Easily done in a day. Just a thought.Lurking in a galaxy far far away...0 -
