    Afternoon,

I went to the gym last night for my induction and the trainer was lovely and ran through everything with me, I explained that I want to do a 10k run next year for Charity and she said that as I have had a disc removed in my lower back that she strongly advises against it, she said that my lower back has a weakness and that the impact of running would aggravate it as I get older. To be fair my physio said that some years ago, so I know she's not making it up.

So now I need to think of something else to do instead.

DD got Patrol Leader in Guides on Wednesday and DS is aiming for NCO in Cadets.

Got my lunch with me today.

Not a lot else to report.

It's a shame about the 10k but a good idea to avoid anything that would injure your back, back pain is just awful.

I agree that swimming is a brilliant activity. Walking and yoga/pilates are my activities of choice, although maybe not as glamorous as running :o.

Whilst swimming is good, it's not something that I want to do for a challenge. The whole point of the 10K was to do something in memory of my dad on his 70th birthday.

I've had a look on the MIND website and there are quite a few challenges that I am going to investigate further :)

In other news.................DH has just resigned, he's got until the end of October to find something.

How about a walking challenge? Like the Three Peaks? Our local one is Ten Tors. I'm not sure when they're held though so the timeline may not suit. Just a thought.

DH has resigned . Sorry to hear that. I'm sure he had good reasons. I hope he finds another job soon.

How about a bike ride? Would that fit in with your back injury?

Hope DH is OK. I'm sure he must have had very good reasons for resigning.

Also hoping your husband finds something else soon.
