I was ignored for the most part, felt out of them team and also felt victimised.
Terribly leaving experience.
But then, I was falsely fired.0 -
Someone I knew got wrapped in bubble wrap and put in a trolley around the warehouse (supermarket)
Nothing to me personally!People don't know what they want until you show them.0 -
Just expected to work normally right up to finishing time. No chance as there were a lot of people I wanted to say my goodbyes to (I was retiring). Apart from 5 minutes taken out for my leaving presentation, which was done by somebody I had never worked for, I just counted down the minutes and got the **** out of there.0

Tied up a few loose ends in the morning.
Got taken to lunch at midday.
Afternoon tea with presentation and a speech (by me)
Did a tour of department in the afternoon with a large box of chocolates to say individual farewells and listen to all the "were going to miss you" stuff
Got called into the Deans office (this was a University) for a personal "thank you for all the hard work"
This was usual send off, doesnt everyone have similar?

My first "proper" job was with RBS, I was there for 3 years.
It was a call centre and by the time I left I had been promoted to a supervisor. The overall manager told me to just walk around help anyone who needed it for the last few days. So I basically just put my feet up and did nothing bar talk to my friends.
Another job most people were made redundant. The people who were staying moved to the top floor. So the rest of us on our floor (about 7-8 of us) made a cricket bat out of sellotape (however you spell it) and a ball and we played cricket for about 2-3 weeks. On the odd occasion the phone did ring it got ignored unless play had been suspended for whatever reason - I think the actual joke at the time was "it is a battle of wills, they will give up first". We also had a frisbee but after nearly breaking a monitor we decided that was a bit risky so stuck to cricket. Oh and bumper chairs/chair racing broke up the days.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
