Just started to do instagram competitions on my computer and wondered how you are informed of a win

The individual T&Cs may say but if you are not contacted you possibly have to watch out for the same type of thing that can happen on FB/TW - name in a post but not tagged or your name put in an image (does not even show on a "name" search then).0

Really you need to use instagram on a phone as if the company dm you to let you know that you are a winner you can't access it on a computer.
Usual ways are -

a reply to your comment notifying you
a comment on a post tagging you
mentioning you in a story

Also you can now use instagram on kindle fire 10 if you have one as I found out last week, I downloaded it free from Amazon to mine. You can send and receive messages on it and upload photos from your kindle just as you would if accessing by phone, it's great.Really you need to use instagram on a phone as if the company dm you to let you know that you are a winner you can't access it on a computer.
