ACAS are not a legal service that will do this for you.
If you think you are owed money, you have three options:
- Find the time to go through the spreadsheets
- Hire a specialist to do it for you
- Accept the money is of low value and stop complaining
If you genuinely think you're owed, you'll find the time to do this.
I note that the time you owed them has already doubled from barely an hour to two hours.
It really isn't that hard to work out what you owe: contracted hours - time actually spent at work = shortfall in time.
Before you pursue someone for money owed, you need to work out how much it is.0 -
I've contacted acas now. I am hoping they have someone there or know of a service that can compare the timesheets I've sent to the clocking in system. If not I'll have to find one myself. I just really don't have the time to go through 6 months of timesheets and clock system paperwork. I am up at 4am 6 days per week. I've asked my ex employer to send me evidence how his accounts department have worked it out if they think they owe me nothing. And he ignored me. Not great.0

I wrote that a while ago. All the information I was given was totally useless. The company I was working for went into administration which is the real reason the owner was trying to not pay me. I contacted the admintrstors and no problem at all, they said I was owed the money, they weren't bothered about a few mins here and there leaving early or starting late. They said contact the government compensation claim fund. I did that, a few days later my missing wages were in my bank account. Kinda funny how the company went into voluntary administration when they owed people money and shortly after opened a new company with a different name.0

A bit late now but why didn't you just take the cheque back in to get signed?0

Read online that it was illegal for me to sign the cheque and take it back in. Plus when the bank sent it back to me as it wouldn't clear before. They stamped void on the cheque. Would have been really suspicious.0

I don't think RPJW meant you signing the cheque (which would be fraud ubnless your were an authorised signatory), but you taking the cheque back to your employer and asking them to sign or replace itAll posts are my personal opinion, not formal advice Always get proper, professional advice (particularly about anything legal!)0

I didn't work at my employers premises. They were a cleaning company and I worked on a site they had a contract for. I told the administrators about the cheque they said don't need it just put in a claim to the government compensation fund.0
